Where do I keep the vigraham?
You can keep Lord Murugan vigraham in your prayer room, or designated area where your keep other prayer vigraham or materials.
Do not keep it for decoration purpose in other places like living room, show case etc
Do I have to do the Abishekam/ pooja / chanting?
Doing the Abishekam, cleaning & maintaining can done but with extreme care to avoid injuries by sharp points on the vigraham. Please keep children under watch when they handle it to prevent accidental injuries.
You can do pooja what ever the way you know also check with temple priest to learn.
Do I have to chant specific mantra?
Please chant the mantra which will be given along with vigraham.
There are so many mantras & songs are available meant for Lord Murugan. At least you can chant Aum Saravanabavaya Namah as many times as you can and per your available time
When I travel can take it along with me?
Yes you can. This is the reason it is given in a small size to fit in a small box. You can keep it in your personnel bag even computer bag too. He is the best & dependable companion.
What should I do if someone tells me not to keep it in my house?
Please do not throw it.. You can check with the priest.
